(ĐN)- As of May 21, Dong Nai Police have detained nearly 500 people on suspicion of causing public disorder and destroying or deliberately damaging property of foreign-invested enterprises at local industrial parks last week.
Police in Bien Hoa city, Trang Bom and Nhon Trach districts have prosecuted a total of 16 criminal cases, with 83 defendants on charges of causing public disorder, damaging corporate assets, looting property.
Most of them are jobless and have no stable residence and came from other localities, the police said, adding they took advantage of the peaceful marches to incite others to launch attacks on businesses to steal assets from them.
