Over the past 30 years, the association has established 12 branches in all localities across the province with 1,094 members and paid much attention to local blind people’s life. Accordingly, the association helped its members to access to loans worth over VND8.8 billion to develop production and stable their lives, solved jobs and organized vocational training courses as well as launched illiteracy eradication programs for members.
Speaking at the ceremony, Director Nguyen Dem of Department of Home Affairs praised the efforts and achievements that the association has made during the last years. He also hoped that the association would continue to carry out various activities to take care of local blind people’s material and spiritual life, create stable jobs for its members and help them to integrate the community.
On this occasion, the association was honored with a third-class Labour Medal presented by State President in recognition of its contribution; 4 collectives and 27 individuals received certificates of merit by the provincial People’s Committee and Vietnam Blind People’s Association for their achievements.
