Of the total, over 12,000 labourers have been employed by enterprises, while the others gained jobs through socio-economic programs.
According to DoLISA, foreign-invested enterprises have strong demand for unskilled labourers, electric technical workers and those working in maintaining industrial machines, garment, footwear and electronic assemblies.
In the 2nd quarter, local enterprises are expected to recruit around 25,000 laborers for their business and production, mainly skilled and unskilled workers.
