In 2013, the Fund raised approximately VND2.2 billion from 209 organizations and individuals to help more than 6,800 disadvantaged children across the province.
Particularly, it provided free medical check-ups and medicine to around 2,000 children, presented 1,964 gifts and 1,200 scholarships to orphans, disabled and poor beneficiaries, offered regular support to 47 children with fatal diseases.
Moreover, the fund also spent over VND1.5 billion to provide treatment for 69 poor kids with heart diseases, cleft lip/palate and burn scars.
In 2014, Dong Nai Children Sponsor Fund will continue its efforts to mobilize more than VND4.5 billion for poor children.
