National Safety, Hygiene and Fire Prevention Week to be launched

(ĐN)- Dong Nai Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA) on Wednesday organized a meeting to deploy the plan for 2014 National Safety, Hygiene and Fire Prevention Week.

Accordingly, the launching ceremony of 16th annual week will be held at Trang Bom district’s Song May Industrial Park on March 22.

Themed “Think and act for the target of no labor accident, occupational disease, fire, or explosion in the workplace”, the week will focus on promoting propaganda, training, inspection, and examination of labor safety and hygiene  and fire prevention at enterprises, production and business establishments; visiting and encouraging families of victims of labor accidents and occupational diseases; and organizing responsive meetings.

As known, in 2013, 1,650 labor accidents and 51 cases of fire occurred in the province, killing 27 people and injuring 1,951 others, causing an estimated loss of more than VND5.6 billion
