Dong Nai holds Tet get-together for overseas Vietnamese

(ĐN)- 190 overseas Vietnamese and their relatives gathered on January 21 to attend a 2014 Lunar New Year festival (Tet) get-together held by Dong Nai provincial People's Committee and Fatherland Front Committee.

The overseas Vietnamese represent for over 32,000 native people of Dong Nai settling and studying in the other countries and territories worldwide who return home to for 2014 Tet celebrations.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairwoman Bui Thi Lieu of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee briefed the participants on the province’s socio-economic development in 2013 and plans for 2014.

She also acknowledged active contributions made by overseas Vietnamese to the province’s development over the past years and hoped that the expatriate will continue to uphold patriotic tradition, enhance solidarity, abide by the law of the host country while preserving their own cultural tradition.
