Delegations bring relief to flood victims

(ĐN)- In the morning of October 30, a delegation from the Dong Nai Provincial Charity Association left for Central provinces to bring relief worth over VND 800 million to flood victims in these localities.

(ĐN)- In the morning of October 30, a delegation from the Dong Nai Provincial Charity Association left for Central provinces to bring relief worth over VND 800 million to flood victims in these localities.

The delegation will give 1,200 gifts to victims in the hard-hit provinces including Quang Tri, Quang Binh and Nghe An.

Bien Hoa city-based Gia Lam Thien Sanh Pagoda’s relief delegation also left for Central and South-western provinces to present scholarships and gifts to flood victims in these localities.

The delegation will visit Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Da Nang, Binh Dinh, Khanh Hoa, Thua Thien-Hue, Ca Mau and An Giang to give 15 tonnes of rice, 1,700 cartons of instant noodles, 2,000 new T-shirts, toys and clothes for children, 120 kg of confectionery and cash.

The delegation will also hand over 1,750 scholarships worth more than VND1 billion to disadvantaged students in these localities.

The total cost of the program is over VND1.5 billion, funded by local sponsors and Buddhist families.
