“We have just 15 computers, most of them damaged, to serve over 1,500 students. With the donation from STF and PepsiCo Vietnam, our students will have more of a chance to practice and improve their knowledge,” said Phan Van Mau, headmaster of the school.

The project “Supporting computers to remote schools” was initiated by STF in 2009. According to STF’s surveys there are lots of schools nationwide which have very few or no computers at all for students.

So far, STF has called on businesses to donate 151 computers and other related devices to schools in the Central area and the Highlands regions, and 67 computers to schools in the southeastern region, with three computers going to schools in the Mekong Delta.

For further information about the project, benefactors can contact Ms. Ngoc Xuan, deputy director ad of the STF on 3740 7493 or email: ngocxuan@thesaigontimes.vn.
