Ajinomoto Scholarship Program awards 335 scholarships to studious poor students

(ĐN)- On October 5, Dong Nai province’s Study Promotion Association and Ajinomoto Vietnam Co. held a ceremony to award scholarships to studious poor students at the provincial Conference Center.

At the 10th scholarship awarding ceremony, 240 students across the province received scholarships together with school bags and gifts for the new school-year.

Primary and junior high students each received a VND800,000 scholarship and senior high students got scholarships worth VND1.2 million each.

This year, three Japan’s Quadrille & Vera Company, Vietnam Japan Gas and Kureha companies joined the program to award 95 scholarships totaling VND86 million.

Since it started in 2004, Ajinomoto Scholarship Program has donated 2,160 scholarships to difficult students across the province.

The program aims to encourage poor students overcome difficulties and continue their study.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Hiroharu Motohashi, General Director of Ajinomoto VN, hoped that the scholarships will partly help the receivers overcome difficulties and continue their study.
