Dong Nai companies cause food poisoning

The Food Safety and Hygiene Division of Dong Nai province has slapped garment manufacturers Kotop Vina Company and Chinh Chu Rang Co Ltd with fines of VND23 million (US$1,100) for causing food poisoning to hundreds of workers last month.

 

 

The Food Safety and Hygiene Division of Dong Nai province has slapped garment manufacturers Kotop Vina Company and Chinh Chu Rang Co Ltd with fines of VND23 million (US$1,100) for causing food poisoning to hundreds of workers last month.

Chinh Chu Rang was fined for unhygenic food supplies, while Kotop Vina was found using water containing toxic bacteria.

The incidents of food poisoning were reported on July 23, 26 and August 2, with nearly 200 of the company's workers being hospitalised after the initial incident.
