A case of transporting and trading langur, uncovered in southern Dong Nai Province’s Thong Nhat District in February, will be brought to court, the district’s police said yesterday.

During an inspection on National Highway 20 late in February, Quang Trung Commune Police detected two men carrying a bag containing 24kg of wild animal bones and meat.

The Southern Institute of Ecology later found they were the remains of 12 langurs, which are classified as endangered animals in the Red Book.
