(ĐN)- In the first half of this year, Dong Nai province War Veterans’ Association and its agencies raised more than VND4.1 billion and 1,700 working days to build 46 km of rural roads and dredged 29 km of drainage ditches. Of the total, local war veterans contributed over VND1.1 billion and 900 working days.
Over the past six months, the Association admitted around 700 new members, bringing the number of its members to nearly 30,000.
In this period, the veterans have tried their best to help each other to develop production. Accordingly, rich members supported fertilizer, seedlings and breeding animals for poor veterans, provided preferential loans totaling more than VND2.4 billion to members with difficult circumstances to develop household economics, improve their lives
