VND278 bil for protecting wild elephants

(ĐN)- The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has required the provinces of Dong Nai, Nghe An and Dak  Lak to promptly implement the plan to protect wild elephants in 2013-2020 period which was signed by the Prime Minister.

(ĐN)- The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has required the provinces of Dong Nai, Nghe An and Dak  Lak to promptly implement the plan to protect wild elephants in 2013-2020 period which was signed by the Prime Minister.

Under the plan, three conservation areas for wild elephants will be set up in Cat Tien National Park and La Nga Forestry Company in Dong Nai, Pu Mat National Park in Nghe An, Yok Don National Park  in Dak  Lak and Dak Nong , EaH’Mo and La Lop forestry companies in Dak  Lak.

Total investment capital for the plan is estimated at around VND278 billion , which will be funded by the State budget as well as international organisations and individuals.
