Over VND21 billion for disabled children

(ĐN)- On June 7, Director Le Thi My Phuong of Dong Nai Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs presided over a meeting to review the implementation of the assistance project for disabled children in the period of 2010-2012.

(ĐN)- On June 7, Director Le Thi My Phuong of Dong Nai Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs presided over a meeting to review the implementation of the assistance project for disabled children in the period of 2010-2012.

Dong Nai is now home to more than 16,000 disabled children, including 2,280 children with severe disabilities.

With the help of the United Nations Children's Fund – UNICEF Vietnam, the province raised more than VND21 billion to help children with disabilities, contributing to improve their lives over the past three years.

In 2013-2015 period, the province will continue its effort to carry out a project on helping disabled children to integrate into the community.
