(ĐN)- On May 29-30, Dong Nai Department of Labour, War Invalids and Social Affairs visited and presented gifts to 300 children with difficult circumstances in remote areas of Xuan Loc, Trang Bom, Long Thanh districts. The gifts, totaling VND90 million, financed by the province’s Children Sponsor Fund.
Earlier, a delegation from General Department 7 of Ministry of Public Security visited and gave 200 life jackets to students of Ta Lai junior high school in Tan Phu district where the number of drowned children remains high.
Recently, Bien Hoa city-based Phuoc Tan commune’s Study Encouragement Association raised more than VND175 million by mobilizing locals to put money in their clay pigs. All the proceeds from the clay pigs are used to help studious poor students and award scholarships to outstanding students.
