In 2012, the fund received donations totaling VND1.6 billion from 118 organizations and individuals, bringing its total to VND9.4 billion. Accordingly, the fund spent more than VND2.49 billion to help 6,488 children with difficult circumstances across the province.

Particularly, the fund cooperated with local and foreign organizations to carry out heart surgeries for 50 children, provide burn scar treatment, maxillo-facial surgeries and eye operations to 178 others, offer free medical check-ups and medicines to 2,280 children, care for 70 children with life threatening diseases such as leukemia, thalassemia. Besides, the fund also presented gifts and scholarships to thousands of children in the locality.
The fund will continue its efforts to raise more donations to help 5,000 other children in 2013.
