Dong Nai to launch National Safety, Hygiene and Fire Prevention Week

Accordingly, the launching ceremony of 15th annual week will be held at the provincial Conference Center on March 23.

The goal of the week is to build a culture of safety in the workplace and to ensure the rights of businesses and employees.

According to DOLISA’s report, in 2012, 1,624 labor accidents occurred in the province, killing 27 people and injuring 1,658, showing an increase of 181 accidents and 2 deaths when compared to the same period in 2011.

Meanwhile, 43 cases of fire happened in 2012, a year-on-year increase of 9 cases, injuring 21 people and causing an estimated loss  of more than VND50 billion, Dong Nai Fire Department reported.
