Under the plan, the province targets forest coverage of 29,76 percent by 2020. Accordingly, the province will have 101,000 ha of special-use forest, 36,500 ha of protected forests and 32,500 ha of productive forests.
In the coming time, the province will continue to give priorities to protect and develop special-use forests and protective forests in Thi Vai, La Nga and Dong Nai river basins for sustainable development of forest and natural ecosystems.
