NA’s Ethnic Council pays working visit to Dong Nai

(ĐN)- The President Ksor Phuoc of the NA’s Ethnic Council on January 9 visited and made surveys on the implementation of ethnic policies in Dong Nai province’s Tan Phu and Dinh Quan district.

Mr. Ksor Phuoc visits ethnic people in Ta Lai commune

According to report from Dinh Quan district, there are 18 ethnic minorities living in the district with more than 52,600 people, accounting for 21% of local population. Over the past years, the district has concentrated all resources to improve the material and spiritual life of ethnic minority people. Particularly, the district invested to build schools, health stations, build houses, offer vocational training, provide financial support for production, bring power and clean water to ethnic households, etc. Until now, the number of poor ethnic households in the locality has declined sharply, making up only 32% of the district’s total poor households.  

Mr. Ksor Phuoc expressed his hope that the district will continue its efforts to take better care of the material life of local ethnic people in the coming time.

Earlier, at the working session with Tan Phu district, Mr. Ksor Phuoc highly appreciated efforts made by the district to help local ethnic people to stabilize their lives.  

On this occasion, Mr. Ksor Phuoc visited ethnic people in Ta Lai commune.
