The event was attended by Chairman Vy Van Vu of Fatherland Front Committee and Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tri of the provincial People’s Committee.
At the ceremony, the organizers gave 150 scholarships worth VND3 million each to outstanding but poor students studying at Dong Nai and Lac Hong universities.
On this occasion, the participants reviewed the 63th anniversary of the founding of the traditional Vietnamese Students’ Day (January 9) .They also watched a documentary film about Nguyen Van Ky - the former Secretary of Bien Hoa Party Committee.
Nguyen Van Ky Scholarship Fund has been established to support students in poor in their education. Recently, Mrs Le Thi Tru, the former Secretary’s wife, donated VND1 billion to the fund.
