(ĐN)- A workshop was destroyed after a fire occurred at HyoSung Co. Ltd in Nhon Trach 5 Industrial Park in Nhon Trach district on November 19.
According to some workers, the fire broke out at about 1 p.m at the spandex fibers production section and then expanded to the whole site.
At the same time, many workers were being at work. They paniced and tried to ran out but some of them could not avoid the intense fire. Four victims were transferred to Cho Ray Hospital in HCM city because their burns were severe.
5 fire engines and more than 50 firefighters of the Nhon Trach district Fire Police quickly arrived at the scene. But it took 6 hours to subdue the fire.
The fire destroyed over 200 sq.m of the workshop. The authorities are investigating the scene to define the cause.
