Dong Nai is now home to around 116,000 ha of natural forest and over 54,000 ha of planted forest. The province plans to plant more than 4,600 ha of forests by 2020 and targets forest coverage of 29,76% percent.
In the coming time, the province will continue to give priorities to protect and develop special-use forests and protective forests in Thi Vai, La Nga and Dong Nai river basins for sustainable development of forest and natural ecosystems.
According to plan, around VND934 billion will be spent for the program.
