(ĐN)- Over the first nine months of the year, Dong Nai provincial Women’s Union raised over VND1billion and more than 8,000 kg of rice to help poor women and award scholarships for their children.
So far, the union handed over 48 charity houses totaling over VND1.6 billion to members facing housing difficulties and presented 836 scholarships worth nearly VND1.2 billion to studious poor students who are children of its members.
In the coming time, the union and its agencies will continue efforts to support rural women in vocational training and job creation, help them escape poverty and improve living conditions.
