(ĐN)- Over the past four months, Bien Hoa city Women’s Union raised more than VND130 million to build two charity houses for local poor women and award scholarships to its members’ children. Besides, the union also offered loans without interest rate for disabled women to help them develop production and improve their living standards.
Long Khanh town Women’s Union has recently presented 10 saving books totaling VND20 million to its poor members, helping them overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives.
Thong Nhat district Women’s Union during the first six months mobilized approximately VND300 million to give loans to 361 members. This aimed to further create favourable conditions for women to contribute to the district’s modernization and industrialization.
