(ĐN)- A forum themed “Loving, assisting and caring for the elderly” was co-organized by Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the province’s Elderly People Association on June 13.
Presently, Dong Nai has 177,457 aged people, including more than 86,000 ethnic minorities and religious people. Over the past years, the province’s authorities has made efforts to provide better care for the elderly. However, over 50% of elderly people living in rural areas still suffer low living standards.
The forum focused on paying more attention to promoting the role of the elderly and ensuring their health and life in the community.
