(ĐN)- On June 20, Dong Nai Journalist’s Association organized a ceremony to mark the 87th Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day and award the 23th Golden Pen Prize to the winners.
Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai and Head of Dong Nai provincial Department of Propaganda and Training Huynh Van Toi attended the ceremony.

Mai Song Be, Chairman of Dong Nai Journalists Association, recalled the glorious history of the Revolutionary Press over the past 86 years and said that provincial journalists have contributed significantly to the province’s socio-economic development. Following the tradition of the Revolutionary Press, the provincial Journalists’ Associations, press agencies and journalists will continue to train themselves and improve their political knowledge and morality to fulfill their tasks and effectively implement the campaign to “study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example” and produce moving articles about real life.
Addressing at the ceremony, Mr. Toi praised the contributions made by Dong Nai’s press to the cause of industrialization and modernization as well as promotion of the local economic development over the past time. He hoped that local press agencies will continue to uphold the glorious traditions of the revolutionary press founded by President Ho Chi Minh and stimulate patriotic movements, encourage renewal achievements and actively fight against corruption and social evils.

On this occasion, the Dong Nai Journalist’s Association awarded the Golden Pen Prize and honored 28 excellent journalists. Accordingly, Dong Nai Newspaper won a first prize, a second prize, third and consolidation prizes.
