(ĐN) – On April 5, Dong Nai Children Sponsor Fund organized a conference to review its activities in 2011 and deploy tasks for 2012.
In 2011, the Fund received over VND7.3 billion from donors inside and outside the province to assist children in difficult circumstances.
With the donation, the Fund spent more than VND5 billion to provide heart surgeries for 92 disadvantaged children with congenital heart defects, offered free eye operations to 28 poor kids. Besides, the Fund cooperated with hospitals to give free medical check-ups and medicines for 3,280 children, awarded scholarships and gifts to hundreds of others.
In 2012, the Fund will continue to launch more activities to raise more than VND3 billion and call on the whole society to joint hand for poor children.
