(ĐN)- Over the past time, Dong Nai province Women’s Union and its agencies have organized many activities to assist poor women across the province.
Accordingly, the union has mobilized more than VND7 billion from its members to provide interest-free loans to nearly 5,000 poor members. Besides, many poor women have received loans from Agribank and Social Policy Bank to do business and escape the cycle of poverty.
Along with providing loans, the union also held many activities to help women in vocational training and job generation. As a result, in 2011, more than 2,500,000 households of poor women escaped poverty and saw improved living conditions.
In the coming time, the union will continue its efforts to help poor women develop production and improve their living conditions.
