(ĐN)- Dong Nai province’s Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) and organizations spent more than VND97 billion on Tet gifts for local poor people.
Particularly, the FFC and Trade Union presented 376,800 Tet gifts totaling over VND75.5 billion, the Labor Union provided 300 free bus tickets to workers, the Women’s Union provided 862 gifts to disadvantaged women and cooperated with HCM-based Trung Vuong and Binh Dan Hospitals to offer free medical check-ups and medicines to poor members.
The provincial Red Cross Association, War Veteran Association, Youth Union, Farmers Association, Elderly People Association, Charity Association and AO/dioxin Victims Association mobilized thousands of gifts to help the poor enjoy a happy lunar new year.
