(ĐN)- In 2011, Long Thanh district’s Fatherland Front Committee raised more than VND3.7 billion to help poor people and students. Particularly, the committee donated more than VND2 billion to Fund for the Poor, built and upgraded 71 charity houses totaling nearly VND1.5 billion, awarded 248 scholarships worth around VND200 million to studious students.
Long Khanh town’s Fatherland Front Committee also mobilized over VND5.4 billion to build and repair 140 houses, give 2,451 scholarships and 2,093 gifts and assist local poor households.
