“Traffic Safety for a Better Life” project handed over

(ĐN)- Dong Nai provincial Traffic Safety Committee and Handicap International on Wednesday hosted a handover ceremony for the project “Traffic Safety for a Better Life” in the province after four years of implementation.

Vice Chairman Tran Van Vinh awards certificates of merit to individuals and collectives for their contributions to project “Traffic Safety for a Better Life”
Handicap has completed the VND15 billion project to help the province in traffic safety management and communication, training technicians to deal with “black points” of traffic accidents, and traffic safety education at schools.

The project has also assisted traffic police and victims of traffic accidents, presented the province with traffic safety facilities.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Vinh thanked the Handicap for its support to the project and stressed that the transport sector and related agencies should continue their efforts to further reduce traffic accidents in Dong Nai.

On this occasion, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee honored 4 collectives and 8 individuals for their contributions to the project. The project “Traffic Safety for a Better Life” will be launched in Binh Thuan and Bac Giang provinces in 2012.
