Power saving is now considered a key task of not only power sector but also enterprises, state units and local people. Over the past time, the sector cooperated with related agencies and the media to enhance public awareness on efficient electricity use and electricity saving.
Thanks to raised public awareness, many industrial producers in the province have taken the initiative to implement power saving measures, made reasonable production plans, reduced the use of machines that consume large amounts of electricity during peak electricity tariff periods.
The lighting system management units made necessary efforts to cut back the use of public lighting. The power sector has also encouraged households to save electricity in daily activities by using compact lights and solar water heaters, turning off unnecessary lights and other electrical equipments.
In the coming time, the sector will continue to coordinate with related agencies to implement measures to encourage economical power usage, reduce investments to develop energy-providing networks and contribute to environment protection.
