Over VND 1.3 billion raised for the poor in Dong Nai

(ĐN) – In response to the Action Month for the Poor (Oct.17 – Nov. 18) launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, State agencies, enterprises, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province contributed more than VND 1.3 billion to the Dong Nai Fund for the poor.

(ĐN) – In response to the Action Month for the Poor (Oct.17 – Nov. 18) launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, State agencies, enterprises, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province contributed more than VND 1.3 billion to the Dong Nai Fund for the poor.

The largest donors were Dong Nai Rubber Coporation (VND 150 million), Bien Hoa Packaging Joint Stock Company (VND 100 million), Dinh Thuan Joint Stock Company (VND 60 million), the Provincial Department of Construction (VND 50 million).
 
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee is calling for donations from local enterprises to support a charitable campaign ‘Let’s join hands for the poor”. The campaign, jointly launched by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee and Vietnam Television Station, will be aired a program which will be broadcast live on Viet Nam Television (VTV) on December 31. Truong Hai Auto Corporation pledged to donate VND 1 billion to support this program.
 
In Thong Nhat district alone, the district’s Fatherland Front Committee has mobilized close to VND 20.5 million from 18 agencies and enterprises in the district since the launch of the Action Month for the Poor. Nguyen Dinh Chieu Junior High School was the largest donor in the district with the donation amounting nearly VND 3 million.
