To achieve this target, the city has applied necessary measures to help poor households overcome difficulties.
Since the beginning of the year until now, the city built 45 charity houses and repaired 10 others for poor households, granted medical insurance cards to more than 8,500 poor people, offered vocational training courses and reduced the tuition for poor students.
The city also approved to grant preferential credits worth VND2 billion for 200 poor households to develop production and provided loans to more than 6,100 poor students to help them continue their study.
