The accident happened at the milestone of 6km on the national highway 20 in Nguyen Hue 2 hamlet, Quang Trung commune at approximately 11:30 a.m.
Nguyen Dang Sau, 50, of Ho Chi Minh city, the driver of the truck tried to avoid hitting two motorbikes which were crossing the road, but the truck flew off the road and plunged into a stream at the roadside, local police said.
Fortunately no one was injured in the accident and the truck was slightly damaged.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
