(ĐN)- In 2011, Thong Nhat district’s Red Cross Association raised nearly VND500 million to provide free medical check-ups and medicine to more than 11,000 poor patients.
Moreover, the association built 8 charity houses for poor households, provided money and relief goods totaling VND700 million for people with difficult circumstances.
This year, the association organized 8 humanitarian blood donating campaigns and collected 1,697 blood units, fulfilling 130% of the target.
