(ĐN)- The 3rd “Giving strength to poor students” scholarship awarding ceremony was held at Dong Nai provincial Conference Centre on Nov 26. The ceremony was attended by Head of the Mass Mobilisation Department Bui Ngoc Thanh and Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Tri.
At the ceremony, the organizers awarded scholarships worth VND1-3 million each to 272 students from primary to high school levels across the province. The receivers are students with specially difficult circumstances.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Bui Ngoc Thanh thanked organizations, individuals who have made donations to help poor students to continue their study and hoped that the program would continue to receive further support from individuals, organizations and businesses inside and outside the province to partly help poor students overcome difficulties.
On this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee presented certificates of merit to 13 collectives for their contributions in raising scholarship fund.
