(ĐN)- Over the past nine months, Dong Nai War Veterans’ Association has made many efforts to help its members improve their lives and reduce the rate of poor war veteran families.
Particularly, the association and its agencies raised more than VND1.9 billion to provide preferential loans to its members to develop household economics, built and repaired 14 charity houses. The association’s members also supported seedlings and breeding animals for poor households, helped each other to develop production, and contributed 2,335 working days to build and upgrade rural roads.
Over the remaining months of the year, the association will continue its efforts to assist poor members, contribute to fulfilling the province’s socio-economic tasks in 2011.
