Nearly VND 1 billion raised to help former political prisoners

(ĐN)- Late last week, Dong Nai provincial Conference Centre held a music programme in praise of the Party and late President Ho Chi Minh with the participation of singers from Dong Nai and actors from Tran Huu Trang Cai Luong Theatre. The event was attended by Chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien.

Co-organised by Dong Nai province’s former Political Prisoners Liaison Board, Dong Nai Radio and Television and Tran Huu Trang Cai Luong Theatre, the event aimed to raise funds for former inmates living in difficult circumstances.

The exchange meeting with former political prisoners

At the event, the former political prisoners recalled the days they had been detained in prisons, saying their deep love for the Party and Uncle Ho helped them through hard times during the war time to continue contributing to the present progress of construction and defence.

The programme raised close to VND 1 billion to assist former political prisoners in Dong Nai province who are still alive and living in difficult circumstances.
