Flash floods may occur in Dong Nai

The eye of the storm was at 18.3 North latitude and 110.8 East longitude, about 360km away from the coastline from Quang Tri to Da Nang with sustained winds of force 10, and gusts at force 11, at 10am on October 4.

Due to the effects from the typhoon Nagale, Dong Nai is expected to have heavy rains in the next few days, according to the Provincial Hydrometeorology Forecast Centre.

The Centre also warned that thunderstorms and whirlwinds may occur in the province. The centre asked residents living in high areas to put on high alert to prevent human and property loss as heavy rains may cause flash floods and landslides in these areas.
