Delegation of Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Cambodia visits Dong Nai

(ĐN)- A delegation of the Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Cambodia led by its Chairman Chau Van Chi recently paid a visit to Dong Nai on Wednesday. The visiting delegation was welcomed by Chairwoman of the provincial Front Fatherland Committee Nguyen Thi Kim Lien.

At the reception, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien briefed the guests on the province’s social and economic development. Lien also said over the past years, Dong Nai has presented 900 sets of primary school textbooks and 20 sets of computers for Vietnamese students and teachers in Cambodia, provided training course for some teachers who are Overseas Vietnamese in Cambodia in order to help them provide Vietnamese teaching program for overseas Vietnamese children in this country as well as donated VND 10 million to poor Vietnamese households in Cambodia.

For his part, Mr. Chau Van Chi thanked Dong Nai province for the enthusiastic support given to the Association of Overseas Vietnamese in Cambodia over the past years and he also expressed his wish to continue to receive Dong Nai 's support for the Association.

Also at the meeting, Lac Hong University agreed to admit 5 Vietnamese students from Cambodia for the purposes of completion of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and their tuition and accommodation fees totaling close to VND 270 million will be funded by the university.
