Provincial leaders cheer teachers and students

(ĐN)- To mark the occasion, the Party Committee, the People’s Council, the People’s Committee, and the Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province sent a letter to teachers and students in the province to extend greetings to them on the threshold of the 2011-2012 school year.

(ĐN)- Nearly 550,000 students throughout the province entered the new school year on September 5. 

According to information from the provincial Department of Education and Training, the number of enrolled students in each education level in the province in the school year of 2011-2012 is as follows: Preschools: 109,000, primary schools: around 212,000, junior high schools almost 150,000, senior high schools over 73,000.

To mark the occasion, the Party Committee, the People’s Council, the People’s Committee, and the Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai province sent a letter to teachers and students in the province to extend greetings to them on the threshold of the 2011-2012 school year. In their letter, the provincial leaders praised the education sector for its efforts and achievements in the last academic year. To develop talented human resources for the province, the provincial leaders urged the sector to conduct comprehensive reform, improve the qualifications of teachers and education managers, and renovate the contents, curriculum and teaching-learning methods at all educational levels as well as gain greater achievements in the school year of 2011-2012.

Delegates cut ribbon to inaugurate new Ngo Quyen High School in Thong Nhat district
September 3 was also the starting day of a new school year for students in some schools in Dong Nai. Director of the Provincial Department of Education and Training Le Minh Hoang joined the teaching staff and students of Lac Long Quan High School in Dinh Quan district to open the new school-year.

On the same day, students and teachers of Tran Hung Dao High School in Cam My district attended the new school year opening ceremony. The school is a newly built school, covering an area of 14,023 s.q.m. with a total construction cost of over VND 44 billion.
 
The new school year opening ceremony was also held at Ngo Quyen High School in Thong Nhat district. This school is a newly built campus that costed VND 22.5 billion to erect. It is recognised as a national standard school.
