Martyr Nguyen Dam was born in 1937 in Phu Phong commune, Que Son district, Quang Nam province. Dam and his family moved to Long Khanh town, Dong Nai province in 1961. He joined the army in February 1968. He sacrificed his life in June 1970. He received many prestigious orders and medals from the Party and State for his achievements in the resistance war against the US imperialists.
The remains of Martyr Nguyen Dam were found in Xuyen Moc district, Ba Ria, Vung Tau province.
