(ĐN)- The trans-Vietnam walking group arrived in Dong Nai on August 7 for a two-day visit.
While in Dong Nai, the group visited the provincial martyrs’ cemetery, guided pupils how to use computers, presented gifts to disabled children and organised a charity performance in the province to raise funds for poor children and Agent Orange/dioxin victims…

On this occasion, the group also offered 20 gifts worth VND 300,000 each to Agent Orange-infected children and gave two labtops to outstanding poor students in the province.
The trans-Vietnam walk with the participation of 1,000 people began on July 3 at Lang Sen (Lotus Village) in the central province of Nghe An, the hometown of President Ho Chi Minh.
The walk, entitled “From Sen village to Nha Rong wharf”, is held to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the day President Ho Chi Minh left Vietnam to seek ways to liberate the country, and 50 years of the Agent/Orange disaster in Vietnam.
The walk starts from Nghe An, through 16 provinces to HCM City, totaling over 1,500km.
Many events will be held in 16 provinces and cities where the walkers pass.
The walk is scheduled for 43 days, from July 2 to August 12.
