Nguyen Hue University celebrates its 50th anniversary

(ĐN)- Nguyen Hue University (former name of the Infantry Officers’ Training College No 2) held a solemn ceremony Friday morning to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its establishment and  receive the 2nd grade Military Medal.

(ĐN)- Nguyen Hue University (former name of the Infantry Officers’ Training College No 2) held a solemn ceremony Friday morning to celebrate the 50th anniversary of its establishment and  receive the 2nd grade Military Medal. Attending the event were Lieutenant-general Nguyen Thanh Cung, Deputy Minister of National Defence, Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Dinh Quoc Thai and Cambodian Consul General Sam Samouth.

Over the past 50 years, the university has organised long- and short-term training courses for ten thousands of miltary officers from both domestic and foreign countries. With its efforts and achievements  in the past 50 years, the univeristy has been awarded many notable titles: the title “Hero of the People’s Army Forces”, the Ho Chi Minh Medal, Feat of Arms Medal and Military Medal.

 

At the ceremony, Lieutenant-general Nguyen Thanh Cung pinned the 2nd grade Military Medal on the traditional flag of the university.

Also at the event, Cambodian Consul General Sam Samouth presented Cambodia’s Friendship Medal to the univeristy in recognition of their contributions to promoting the traditional friendship and co-operation between the two countries.
