Dong Nai wins third prize at national informatics contest

(ĐN)- The awarding ceremony of the 17th National Contest of Young Talent in Informatics took place in Ho Chi Minh city on August 4.

The awards including 3 first, 8 second, 19 third and 47 consolation prizes were awarded to the winners in catergories: Primary Schools, Junior High Schools and Senior High Schools. Two students from Dong Nai including Le Quang Tung of An Hao Primary School and Luong Tan Sang of Nguyen Van Troi Junior High School were among the nineteen 3rd prize winners.

The organising board also presented awards to the youngest contestant and four participants from ethnic minority groups.

The annual event is co-organised by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, Ministry of Information and Communications, Ministry of Education and Training, Vietnam Television and Vietnam Informatics Association.

This year's competition attracted the participation of nearly 10,000 students from primary schools, junior and senior high schools nationwide and 231 finalists were selected to join the final round.
