(ĐN)- Dong Nai branch of Viettel in cooperation with HCMC Medical University Hospital and Dong Nai Children Hospital provided free heart examinations to 100 children under sixteen who have symptoms of heart disease across the province.
Accordingly, 29 children who suffer congenital heart deformities and come from families that cannot afford the operation that costs about VND30-50 million will get free surgeries in the coming time.
This is part of Hearts for Kids (Trai tim cho em) program launched by Vietnam Television, the Military Telecom Corporation (Viettel) and the East Meets West Foundation.
Over the past three years, the program has provided 1,200 surgeries for congenital heart patients.
