(ĐN)- Recently, the Dong Nai Police Department has offered preferential loans worth VND 105 million for six former prisoners who had received amnesties in Xuan Loc district to help them develop their economy to improve their living conditions.
The loans were granted from the provincial fund contributed by local busineses. Established in October 2010, the Fund aimed to mobilize financial resources from entrepreneurs in the province to help those who received amnesty overcome difficulties and stablise their life as well as help them re-integrate into the community and preventing them from violating the law again.
So far, the fund has granted 38 loans with a total value of around VND 600 million.
In addition to offering loans for released prisoners, the fund will provide financial assistance to poor households who have uncertain jobs and unstable incomes in the province in the coming time.
