(ĐN)- Dong Nai saw a dramatic decrease of traffic accidents but a rise of the death toll in road accidents in the first half of this year. According to the statistics from the Dong Nai Traffic Police Department, 442 traffic accidents have occurred in the province over a 6-month period, killing 182 people and injuring 541 others, showing an increase of nearly 5 per cent in the number of deaths, a decrease of 17 and 24 percent in the number of accidents and injuries, respectively when compared to the same period last year.
Traffic accidents in province were mostly caused by carelessness and poor awareness on the part of drivers.
