A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a passenger bus on July 25 in Thong Nhat district. The deadly collision happened at milepost 05+500km on the national highway 20 in Nguyen Hue 2 hamlet, Quang Trung commune around 9 a.m.
Police said a passenger bus heading Da Lat city on the national highway 20 was driven by an unidentified person struck a motorcycle driven by Vu Quoc Dung, 41, of Trang Bom district. The motorcyclist died at the scene. Police are looking for the driver of passenger bus, who left the scene after the accident.
Also on July 25, a cyclist was killed in a fatal collision at Tan Phong roundabout in Bien Hoa city at about 10.45 a.m. The cyclist, who was killed after being struck by a dumper truck, has been identified as Pham Thi Huong, 51, of Tan Bien ward, Bien Hoa city.
Earlier on July 23, an 8-year-old girl, a third grader of Nguyen Du Primary School in Gia Kiem commune, Thong Nhat district suffered two broken legs after being struck by a truck on the national highway 20 in Quang Trung commune at about 6 a.m.
On July 22, two drivers were taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision between a truck and a passenger bus in Thong Nhat district. A truck heading Dau Giay, registration number 86T-1624, driven by Le Tan Thanh, 51, of Binh Thuan province, lost control after hitting a passenger bus driven by Nguyen Van Giau and flipped over on the national highway 1A in Hung Nghia hamlet, Hung Loc commune around 3 p.m.
Also on July 22, the car's driver, Nguyen Thai Hoa, 29, of Cam My district, suffered a broken leg in an accident in Thong Nhat district. Two cars collided on the national highway 1A at milepost 1832km in Ngo Quyen hamlet, Bau Ham 2 commune at 8.00p.m. The accident left the two vehicles badly damaged.
The incidents remain under investigation.
